Under the Heavens

A subjective and cultural investigation for year 12 students to explore and construct photographs using the 12 foldness of the Zodiac as a subject matter for their interpretations of the world. The science, qualities, colours, qualities, traditions and classification menus of the Zodiac will form a scaffold for the students as they choose a sign and produce images that are conceptually linked to representing a point of view. In historical and critical studies, Tracey Moffatt's work "Under the Sign of Scorpio" will be the main area of study along with other zodiac images that have been used as photographic expression of ideas.
